What is MyNursingLab?
MyNursingLab is a tool that will help you test yourself on course objectives and skills. You will be able prepare for each chapter's information with pre and post tests which result in a personalized study plan and track your progress through the course. You will receive feedback and ongoing assessments of your progress as you travel through the information.
MyNursingLab: How to Get Started
I. Student Registration:
A. What you need to get started
1. Valid email address
2. Student Access Code
a. If you bought a new book, the access code is packaged with the text. Go to www.mynursinglab.com, click on first time user, student, and I already have an access code. Click on No, I do not have a Pearson account. Fill in the requested information and create a Login Name and Password. I would suggest you use your email address as your log in name (unless your email addy is lovetoskinnydip@gmail.com ) ☺ Enter your six-word student access code, school zip code (92311), and country. Finish filling out all the requested information and submit.
b. If you bought a used book, you will have to purchase the access code on-line. Go to www.mynursinglab.com, click on new user, student, and then I need to buy access and follow the directions. When you get your access code, you may follow the instructions above.

B. What steps to take next
1. Go to www.mynursinglab.com and log in with your user name and password. My Courses page will open.
2. Here you will find "Self Study Course". This area is NOT the MyNursingLab course you will work in this semester. This will become accessible to you after this class is over. You'll have to enroll in it with a special ID#.
3. Click on the Enroll in a Course button in the upper right corner of the left of the screen.
4. Enter the Course ID (CRSCDR1-1006961). Click Submit and then Confirm. You are now enrolled.
5. The first time you enter the course from your computer or from a new computer, you will need to click on the Browser Tune-up located under the Help tab and System Requirements. See below.
II. The very first thing you need to do is to go to System Requirements to make sure your computer has the operating systems, browsers, plug-ins, and such in place to be successful. The Browser Turn-up is especially helpful in accomplishing this.
III. Run your mouse over Training and Support
A. Click on Student Support: Here you will find all the information you need to know about the needed access codes needed to get into MyNursingLab and the Course Management System
B. Training: Offers you the opportunity to have access to online training for MyNursingLab. Please be sure to check out the training times at the bottom of this section.
C. How-to Videos: If you are more of a visual learner (as I am), you will find the How-to Videos and power point tutorials very helpful. Here you can see how to register and enroll in the online portion of the course, get started with MyNursingLab, and where to find technical help if and when you need.
D. Student Support: Here you will find very helpful link to information such as How do I get started with MyNursingLab, How do I get a student access code, and How do I enroll in a course.
IV. Be sure to look at General for common problem solutions and Documentation for MyNursingLab Student Registration and MyNursingLab Student Basics which will be helpful to get you started.
V. Please be sure to read all Announcements and any Notes that appear on the course calendar.
A. Announcements area can be found under Notifications on Today's View.
B. Notes and Assignments on the calendar can be seen by clicking on the day the note appears or the date the assignment is assigned.
VI. You can also go to Course Content and then View All Content to find assigned material.
VII. On this same screen, you will find a multitude of information: Your Study Plans which include the pre-tests and post-tests, Chapter Activities and Resources, Book Resources, ect.
