Valerie Colston received earned her B.A. in Art at the University of California, San Diego, and her M.A. in Art History at San Diego State University. She has taught Art courses locally for several years, organized her own art tour company, and was producer/host of Gallery Close-Up a locally aired Survey of Art Galleries and Museums in the San Diego and La Jolla areas. Ms. Colston has also produced a teacher resource website, Art Teacher on the Net that has won worldwide recognition and awards. She currently develops and teaches online courses at a number of universities and colleges nationally. Ms. Colston also teaches traditional on ground classes through local universities. Ms. Colston is the author of 200 Projects to Strengthen Your Art Skills Barrons Educational Series 2008 and Teens Go Green! Tips, Tools, Techniques, and Themes for Young Adult Programming.
