About the Instructor: Ms. James

Hello! Nice to meet you online. I’m excited to work with you this term in English Composition and Reading. Learning is a self-directed journey, and I am honored to assist you along the way!

My credentials include a B.A., Cum Laude, in English Writing, Rhetoric and Literature and a M.A. in English Education. I am also licensed to teach English Language Arts in grades 7-12. I have taught college level English courses exclusively online for over four years. However, my career background includes newspaper journalism, non-profit public relations, and high school and college education.

Online courses provide a unique learning environment that allows many learners to get an education they might not be able to get for various reasons in a traditional classroom. I strive to help each student reach his or her writing goals in any way I can. Writing is a skill, and with dedication and practice, each writer improves. Together, we will practice and develop the composition and reading skills you need for successful college writing.
