Meet your Instructor: Mr. Perez

I finished high school in 1984 and began my college career at Moorpark Community College.   After one year I transferred to California State University at Northridge .  I finished my BA in Psychology and worked in the private sector for 10 years.   In 1996 I began teaching and I knew it was for me.  Working with students and other faculty members on a day to day basis is a great life.  In 2003 I completed my masters degree in cross cultural educational from National University.  I plan on starting my doctorate program in management in 2006.

I'm married to a woman who has been in education for 16 years.  For the last 10 years she has been a special education teacher in K-6.   I have daughter that was born 12/5/03. Her name is Hannah. We adopted her from the county in December of 2004 and life is great.  I'm adopting a second child RIGHT NOW.   Her name is Gabrielle.  She is a preemie still in the hospital.  Doing very well.   She should be home in a few weeks.  I live in Riverside County, CA.  For those of you not familiar with Riverside I am about 70 miles from the sea and about 30 miles from Palm Springs.  I'm the oldest of three children.  My dad and mom live in La Quinta, near the Saltan Sea.  To get more info on me you can go to MySpace.  ID=profperez.

I'm looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you over the next 9 weeks. If you make the effort and demonstrate that you "get it", you will pass the class without any problems. If you are trying to earn an A or B then you will have to work harder and spend time editing and posting beyond the call of duty.   Basically, in short, I'm here to help you, keep you excited, and look for success!  So relax and just do your best.
