Meet Your Instructor: Mr. Nailon My Name is Jason Nailon. I currently reside in Apple Valley California with my wife and our son. I have been in the Fire service for over 15 years, starting my career as a volunteer firefighter with the San Bernardino County Fire Department where I was employed for 5 years. I also held Fire Inspection positions with the Ramona Fire District and the City Of Temecula for 3 years. The last 8 years I have been employed by the Apple Valley Fire Protection District and have served in the positions of Fire Inspector, Fire Inspector II, and Fire Protection Specialist. I am currently adjunct faculty at Victor Valley College , responsible for instruction of the following classes: Building Construction for Fire Protection, Fire Protection Systems and Equipment, California State Fire Marshal Fire Prevention 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C, and Fire Investigation 1A and 1B. I have been a California State certified specialty instructor for over 5 Years. My education consists of an Associates of Science degree in Fire Technology from Victor Valley Community College that I completed in 1998, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Safety Administration from Grand Canyon University that I completed in 2007. On a State and National level, I hold certifications as a Fire Inspector, Fire Protection Specialist, Fire Plans Examiner, and Fire Investigator. At the National level I hold Certifications from NFPA as Fire Inspector I and the International Code Council as Fire Inspector I and II. My hobbies are spending time with my family, Off-Road Motorsports, and getting away to San Diego when we can.
