About the Instructor: Ms. Headrick

Hello. My name is Donna Headrick. I will be your instructor for this online nutrition class. I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years and a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for 10 years. I have been teaching Nutrition for about 10 years and am so excited to teach your nutrition course.

Until recently I practiced dermatology in Bakersfield, California. This past summer, I "retired" from my clinical practice and moved to Canada to be with my husband on his job site. So, I guess "office hours" are out of the question. However, I am available to answer your questions almost daily to help you as you travel through this course.

 I have found that students take Nutrition courses for various reasons. The reason I love to teach it is so that I can share with students the important connection between diet and health. It does not have to be very complicated. At the end of this course, you will be able to take this information into your every day life and make good choices about your diet and, therefore, about your present and future health.

I look forward to hearing from each of you this semester. Good luck and I will "see" you in class.
