About the Instructor: Mr. David Grossman

My name is David Grossman and I am a full-time Physical Education Instructor for Barstow Community College. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree, a Master of Science Degree in Physical Education from California State University, Fullerton and I am currently working on my Doctorate degree in Community College Leadership.  I am in my fourteenth (14) year at BCC and have taught Sport Psychology for 18 years. Prior to coming to Barstow Community College, I was an Instructor at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. I taught this course for 4 years while at LCSC. While at LCSC, I was able to get involved with the Office of Independent Study at the University of Idaho. I taught Sport Psychology through the Office of Independent Study at the University of Idaho.  I really enjoy this subject, and I hope you will do the same.

I have 20 years of collegiate basketball coaching experience.  I was the head men's basketball coach at Barstow College for 10 years.  I was an assistant coach for 4 years at Lewis-Clark State College and 4 years at California State University, Fullerton.  I had the good fortune to coach Cedric Ceballos who played for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.  In addition, I coached Bruce Bowen of the San Antonio Spurs.

I have been married to my beautiful wife, Jolie for 17 years. We have two fantastic boys; Kyle, 20 yrs. old and Donovan, 16 years old.
